The fourth EP release on Elektrodos Recordings is the first in our Diode Bridge project (DBP). DBP is a collaborative project between 2 artists, who each contribute one of their tracks, and a remix of the other artist's track, giving us a 4 track EP that is the presentation of the styles and sounds of both artists, as well as a Gestalt construct of both, through the remixes, in a unique sound which is the product of their musical collaboration.

The first installment comes from prolific Spanish producer, DJ and boss of the eclectic Urban Connections label Amper Clap, together with Robyrt Hecht, German producer, DJ and boss of the excellent YUYAY records label.
Amper Clap's "Desolation" is fast paced and synth heavy, in purist AC style, with a lead melody that is on the fringe of out of tune, and the characteristic, well organized structure that this breaks, hardcore (as Sudden Shock) and electro producer lays on his tracks. "Time to Shift" characterizes the cold mathematical producer that is Robyrt Hecht, with beautifully built up pads and atmospheres, and ice cold computer voices over crystaline electro beats.

The mutual remixes make this a unique EP. Robyrt Hecht's rework of Amper clap's "Desolation" becomes even faster, closing in on elegant electro techno, with polished melodies and vocoded vocals from Robyrt Hecht's freezer. Amper Clap takes the track by Robyrt Hecht, and heats things up with a electro breaks beats, thicker synths and cowbells. The resulting remixes reflect the mutual understanding as well as the interacting different styles of both artists, fulfilling the goal of this release: a collaborative EP that is more than just the sum of both individual styles, showing both the richness of their individual work, as well as the interesting interplay of their artistic personalities.

Esta cuarta referencia en Elektrodos Recordings es la primera en nuestro Diode Bridge project (DBP). DBP es un proyecto colaborativo entre 2 artistas, que ambos aportan un tema original suyo, y remezclan el tema del otro artista, de modo que el EP queda de 4 temas que es una muestra de los estilos y sonidos de ambos artistas, y de una creación Gestalt de los dos, por vía de las remezclas, en un sonido único que es producto de la colaboración musical de ambos.

La primera entrega viene del prolífico productor y DJ español, jefe del ecléctico sello Urban Connections Amper Clap, junto con Robyrt Hecht, productor y DJ alemán, además de director del excelente sello YUYAY records.
"Desolation", de Amper Clap, es un tema rápido y cargado de sintes, al puro estilo Amper Clap, con una melodía principal al borde de desafinar, y la característica estructura que este productor de breaks, hardcore (bajo el alias de Sudden Shock) y electro domina como nadie. "Time to Shift" es característico del frío y matemático trabajo del productor Robyrt Hecht, con pads atmosféricas cuidadosamente construidas, y voces frías de ordenador sobre unas bases cristalinas.

Las remezclas hacen de este EP una obra única. La interpretación de "Desolation" de Robyrt Hecht es todavía más rápida que el original, acercándose a un elegante electro techno, con melodías pulidas y vocales de vocoder que salen del fondo del congelador de Robyrt Hecht. Por su parte, Amper Clap le mete mano al track de Robyrt Hecht y lo calienta a base de electro breaks, sintes contundentes y cowbells. Las remezclas resultantes reflejan la comprensión mutua entre ambos artistas, a la vez que muestran la interacción artística de ambos estilos personales. Así, este EP es más que la mera suma de dos estilos: muestra la riqueza de su trabajo individual, además del interesante intercambio entre sus personalidades artísticas.
